Introduction to Model – First Premise – How the Universe really expands

Historical Reactions to Models

At one time the smartest people in the world believed that it was the rotation of the Celestial Spheres surrounding Earth that produced the motion of the Stars and all the objects in the Heavens

When it was proposed that the same illusion could be realized by Earth Revolving relative to the fixed Sphere of Stars, there were many “Rush to Judgment” responses made to “prove” that the model is false.

The Pea Problem

For example, there was the “Pea Problem”.

It was argued that just as peas on a spinning plate would fly off the plate, so would all the people on the Earth fly off into space if the Earth were spinning.  People aren’t flying off into space; therefore the model must be wrong.

This kind of “rush to Judgment” reaction is what most people familiar with the relationships of physics will have the urge to do when first reading of the model, so please give me some time to fill out the model.

The Universe would fall apart problem

So please, I know many of you guys with PHD’s in General Relativity will nearly have a mental meltdown trying to ignore all the numerous issues the initial premise of the model would cause, but be patient.  Yes I know it initially seams that if the first premise of the model was assumed, the Entire Universe would fall apart, which is much worse than Peas flying off the Plate.

A Fundamental Difference in Models – Where to stop the Expansion of Spacetime

The “mainstream” description of the expansion of the Universe

Before describing the proposed model, it is necessary to describe the presently accepted Cosmological model describing the expansion of the Universe.

If you were to look in any High School or Collage book describing the Expansion of the Universe, you will most likely find a picture of a balloon being blown up with pennies or buttons attached.

The balloon as it expands carries the buttons or pennies further and further away from each other.  The buttons are not actually moving with respect to the surface of the balloon, the motion is due to the buttons being carried by the expansion of the balloon.

This example is used to illustrate the expansion of the Universe.  The buttons represent fixed sized galaxies that are being carried by the expansion of Space.  The galaxies stay fixed in size because they are gravitationally bound.  Solar systems do not expand because they are gravitationally bound.  Atoms do not expand because they are bound by the force of Charge.  The galaxies are not moving relative to the “Fabric of Space” since they are being carried by Spacetime.

My proposed description of the expansion of the Universe.

Here is how my model is different.  In the proposed model you would have to draw the galaxies on the surface of the balloon.  Galaxies expand with the expansion of space.

Not only do galaxies expand, Solar systems expand, and even atoms expand.

(Those of you familiar with the works of John Archibald Wheeler, the famous teacher of General Relativity, will know that he has taken a rather firm stance against this understanding as to the nature of the expansion of the Universe and it is for good reasons he has. (But he was wrong and I’ll prove it, and you can try to prove me wrong, if you feel up to it.)

Model lends itself to a physical explanation for Quantum Mechanics

The expansion occurs within the atom itself and the very tiny incremental addition of spacetime onto the existing structure of reality causes a disturbance or variation in the surface defining an object and a variation in the surface of the ruler being used to measure the object.  If one were trying to locate the position of an electron, there would only be a probabilistic estimate of its location.  The electron would appear to be suddenly on one place than another, all because of the change in the space surrounding the electron. It is this process that is responsible for the “uncertainty principle” associated with Quantum Mechanics.

The Opportunity Principle

It is interesting to note that the Uncertainty principle should actually be renamed in the proposed model.  The change only occurs on top of the existing structure of reality, so there is inherently a limit to the uncertainty.  What is really being revealed is more of an Opportunity principal. Change occurs because there is the opportunity to do so, and that opportunity is the result of expansion.

Unified Field Theory

If the relationships associated with charge and gravity are also physically predicted as a result of the proposed geometric expansion of Space, then a Unified Field theory is established. This is indeed the case, as will be shown.

Why a Snowflake Universe

One of the reasons I call this a Snowflake Universe is that a snowflake is a useful analogy for much of the proposed model.  For example this incremental expansion of Spacetime on the existing fabric of Reality can be analogously described using an Expanding Snowflake.  As a molecule of water integrates itself on the existing structure of the Snowflake change occurs.  It is only around the perimeter of the expanding snowflake that change occurs.  The change occurs upon the existing structure.  Change occurs similarly upon the existing structure of reality defining our Universe.

The Edge of Space

This expansion model yields an interesting revelation about the Edge of Space.  It is not off at some distant location in space.  We are at the Edge of Space in the present. The past, which is what we see when we look back into space, reveals the existing structure upon which reality was built. The edge of space is within us now.

Simple Geometric Expansion

This expansion occurs at a very specific rate.  If you double the age of the Universe, the volume of an object, or region of space would increase 4 times.

Too simple to be true?

(I am trying to avoid formulas, if you want formulas, download a copy of the paper, for now I will just write S == T^2, which should be read as , “a volume of spacetime or an object is geometrically proportional to the age of the Universe squared”).

So if you can imagine a volume of space slowing increasing according to a specific relationship, you are visualizing the true, (according to me) expansion of the Universe.
